Keydy O’Callaghan
Keydy holds a BA (Admission), B Th (Theology), Licentiate in Theology degrees at the University of Stellenbosch. Keydy is a trained MLNP (Multi-Level Neuro Processing) Full Life Coach (ICR), Trauma (TIRSA/MLNP)- and Pastoral Counsellor (CPSC).
Liezanne Whittle
Program Manager : Social Services and Community Development
Liezanne started her career at Caritas on September 1, 2011.
Responsible for community development with the aim of establishing and maintaining of the Early Childhood Development Centres within the Synod area of the Dutch Reformed Church in the Northern Cape and North West Province. She is also responsible for parental guidance of the parents of the children in the ECD Centres. Liezanne is also responsible for the quality assurance of all social actions performed by the various service points and branches in the Northern Cape and North West provinces.
She holds a Baccalaureus Societatis Scientiae (Social work) University of the Free State.
Esté van der Merwe
Marketing Manager
Started her career at Caritas on July 1, 2015. She is responsible for the marketing and brand management of Caritas Community Focus.
She holds a BA in Communication Science (Unisa) and a BA in Public Administration (Unisa).
Mariette van Huyssteen
Manager: Caritas Community Focus Vryburg
Mariette holds a BA (MW) from the University of North West.
She is responsible for the Social Services Office in Vryburg.
She is also a social worker and therapist specializing in the assessment of children and adults, parental guidance, marriage, and divorce counseling as well as trauma counseling.
Estie Botha
Manager: Training and Professional Development
Estie is a registered (SACSSP) Senior Social Worker. She holds a B Soc SC (SW) degree as well as a M.Soc.Sc (Clinical Social Work) (UFS). She also holds a M SW (Forensic Assessment) Cum Laude (UFS).
Estie is a member of The South African Association for Social Workers in Private Practice and South African Professional Society on the Abuse of Children. Field of practice: Emotional assessment of children with emotional and behavioural problems. Forensic assessment of children where there is suspected abuse or in child custody issues. Play and group therapy with children 3-14 years who are in need of emotional support, experienced trauma or loss. Bonding therapy with parents and children as well as parental guidance. Field of interest: social, emotional and character development of children. Training of parents and educators.
Carla Botes
Manager: Caritas Community Focus Kimberley and Therapy Centre
Obtained Bachelor of Social Work degree from University of South Africa in 2016 – Cum Laude.
Started career as a Social Worker at Caritas Community Focus Child and Youth Care Center Jannie Roux January 2016.
she was appointed as manager of Caritas Community Focus Kimberley and Caritas Therapy Centre on 1 July 2023.
Responsible for social service office in Kimberley ensuring that the mission of Caritas is set forward with excellence and passion.
Marelize Hurter
Manager: Caritas Child and Youth Care Centre (Jannie Roux Campus)
Marelize holds a B. Social Work degree from the University of the Free State. She started her career as Social Worker on the 01st of March 2014 at Child Welfare SA in Galeshewe. On the January 1, 2016 she was appointed as Social Worker at Caritas Child and Youth Care Centre and the April 1, 2022 she was appointed as Manager of the Centre.
She is responsible for the Child and Youth Care Centre in Barkly-West.
